htop

htop is an interactive process viewer for unix systems which works in text-mode on consoles and x terminals as an alternative to top. The application works on most Linux distros.

CentOS 7 installation *

# yum -y install htop

* if not already installed you must install the EPEL repository (Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux)

# yum -y install epel-release

Debian 8 installation

# aptitude -y install htop

Ubuntu 16 installation

# apt -y install htop

OpenSUSE 42 installation

# zypper -y install htop
